Now I don’t like a mouse in my quiche as much as the next guy… Provided that the next guy isn’t Ron Smith, the self described “sharp and aggressive” author of ‘How to stick up for yourself’. Ron, as a “stirrer and professional grumbler” shows us mere “nervous and retiring” consumers -or as he calls us, “fumbles”- how to defend ourselves against such affronts as “Unpalatable food” and “waiting for the Bill”. Ron, in the course of his daily existence, also eats more human saliva than actual food.
Ron Smith, co-author (with Alan Stokes) of 'How to stick up for yourself: A handbook for the militant consumer', published 1982.
Here we see Bill cooking with Rum, with a bottle of Rosé on standby. There is no easy way of saying this but… Bill: Have you considered cutting back on the product placement / drinking? We’re only saying this because we care about you.
Bill Taylor, author of 'Bill Taylor's Queensland Tropical Treats', published 1982.
